Services Available
Early intervention is important to provide accurate information, including a range of options regarding funeral arrangements and to assist with other issues that may arise at the time of the child’s death.
When the death of a child occurs we are mostly notified by attending ambulance, police or hospital and we aim to contact and/ or visit the family immediately if consent given by the family. |
| SIDS and Kids Hunter provides: |
- 24 hour crisis phone line
|
- Ongoing Bereavement Support for those affected by the death of a child.
|
- Individual or group support sessions as required by bereaved parents and their families
|

- We offer a quarterly newsletter, which is sent to families and others who support our group. It usually contains details of meetings and activities at the Drop-In-Centre, updates on the latest scientific information, “Loving Memories”, and “Stork News”. Most importantly, it has stories, poems, and memories lovingly written by families and friends about their special babies.
